Nothing
(Rumi poem translated from its translations, “Love Said to Me” and “Slave of the Moon”)
Surrender me to the universe —
into Shanti, Ananda,
and all beings free from suffering —
or do nothing.
Last night I replaced reason
with rhapsody,
and Love said I am here.
Shhh...
Love, I am afraid of losing you.
Love says to me, over and over,
There is nothing that is not me.
Be silent.
There is nothing that is not me.
I have taught you the secret.
Receive it in silence.
Everything incandesces,
light and life and darkness.
Bow.
Love, tell me all you are, I beg,
I am dying.
I am beyond your question, your language, and your understanding,
yet I am you and this and this and what is.
Be.
Stop supposing you need to know.
Stop imagining you do not know.
Stop torturing yourself with separation that does not exist.
You are Knowing.
You are Oneness.
You are Me.
Is this God?
Yes.
And it is nothing.
